Application based on dental caries determinants for decision making support

Aims: Show the development stages of an application based on dental caries disease determinants. Materials and Methods: The software was developed by interdisciplinary work done by Dentistry, Information Systems and Design professionals. Results: The application that allows receiving, storing and analyzing data related to dental caries health-disease process determinants for an individual and groups of individuals. Conclusion: The application was developed seeking operational efficiency, and has the potential ability both to manage stored and analyzed information and to streamline decision-making processes, making it useful for the development of different interventions in dental caries health-disease processes in healthcare. The possibility of it acting as a support tool in the teaching of dentistry, by addressing issues such as caries and its determinants, the relationship between territory and the oral health-disease process, oral health assistance models and oral health surveillance, is worth mentioning.
